What’s the story of Pupu’s Garden
I have raised worms for 3 years now, from 100 red wigglers to now more than 30000 constantly eating and pooping and making baby worms. These 3 main activities are all very beneficial to us:
- Eating: Worms decompose organic matter from your kitchen, all these apple cores, the banana peels, the artichoke pedals or things you don’t think they are edible, like cardboards, weeds from your yard. They munch munch munch on, and I feel very rewarding raising a huge group of creatures while they don’t really need a lot of attention.
- Pooping: Pupu’s worms work day and night pooping and recycling the nutrients back. These nutrients are digested and broken into smaller particles. Your crops and plants will be so happy to grasp those easy accessible nutrients along with beneficial aerobic bacteria.
- Making baby worms: Worms do not make baby worms directly; baby worms are hatched from worm eggs, also known as cocoons. If you observe these cocoons closely enough, I would think there is a whole universe inside it! Yes, a whole universe of limitless potential of turning compost to the plant food!
- You have to watch this, how worm egg hatches video on Youtube: They are amazing!
